"The success of the Botwood Mural Arts project will be determined by the support given by the community as a whole. Our committee is being encouraged constantly by the positive feedback received from every sector. If this is a measure of what is to come, Botwood is well on its way to an exciting future. Some communities are blessed with a view. Some are blessed with a vision. Botwood has both. We are proud to be working on your behalf."
Mike Shainline,
Chairman, Botwood Mural Arts Society
Q: How many murals will there be?
A: Time will tell. Each community is different. While one community did close to forty murals in approximately 20 years, another completed forty in four years.
Q: Who will paint the murals?
A: Preference will be given to Newfoundland and Labrador artists whose livelihood is derived solely from art.
Q: How can I get involved?
A: Volunteers are always needed and welcomed. Contact any committee member or inquire at the Botwood Town Office.
Investment in the Mural Arts Project comes from a broad range of sources, including:
It is through a partnership with local, regional, national and international participants that we will witness the growth of this economic enterprise.
